Jungle Warfare Expert

The Jungle Warfare patch is authorized to individuals who have completed a Jungle Warfare Training Course and received Army orders awarding the JW Expert Patch, or by command award after performing satisfactorily during a jungle combat mission. Jungle Warfare Expert training completion is noted in Block 26 (pre 2000) or Block 13 (post 2000) of the DD-214. Basic Jungle Warfare training completion is noted in Block 25 or Training/Education/Schools section of the DD-214. Basic Jungle Warfare completion does not warrant the Expert certificate.
