In an attempt to sever Allied lines in a Reverse Inchon maneuver, four Chinese armies attacked on a wide front only to be met with an unrelenting and unyielding Allied wall of resistance involving South Korean, Australian, Canadian, United Kingdom and America forces. The Battle resulted in a significant Communist defeat. For the duration of the war China and North Korea never again attempted another effort to seize major territory.
From this point on the Korean War evolved into static defense battles. Certificate authorized for In-theatre service during the Operation Period.
